Terms of Service

Privacy Window is a desktop application that helps you prepare for online conversations using AI (currently OpenAI's GPT-4 and Whisper models). It is in private beta and provided free of charge.

• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide
• You're responsible for keeping your password (or Google account) secure
• One person per account
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, fraud, or violation of these terms — generally with notice

You agree NOT to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or that violates someone else's rights
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, captcha, or other anti-abuse measures
• Impersonate another person or use false credentials
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our API keys or secrets
• Use the service to harass, deceive, defraud, or to record conversations without consent where local law requires it
• Resell access or run automated bulk requests against the API

• The AI is provided as-is. Output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or biased statements.
• You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content — in interviews, meetings, or any decision.
• Privacy Window is a preparation tool; we make no guarantees about the outcome of any real-world conversation.
• The AI does not produce legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

Our handling of data is detailed in the Privacy Policy. In short: we do not sell, share, or train on your data, and your conversations are not stored on our servers.

• Privacy Window is in beta. The service may change, break, or be discontinued.
• We provide no warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• Features described on the website may differ from what ships in any given build.

• Privacy Window, the brand, logo, and software are owned by us.
• You retain all rights to the content you provide as input. We claim no rights over your prompts, audio, or conversation context.
• AI-generated output is yours to use, subject to OpenAI's terms (which are largely permissive for commercial use).

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Privacy Window and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Total aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the last 12 months — which, during the free beta, is zero.

You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address tied to your account, at least 14 days before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, unless mandatory consumer protection law of your residence (within the EU or otherwise) provides for a different competent forum.
